It’s time to put an end to gender-based violence.

It’s time to put an end to gender-based violence, which takes many forms and affects societies around the globe. Since 1981, Women’s Rights Activists have observed November 25 as a day against gender-based violence. The International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women invites governments and international organizations to join together in raising awareness about this pervasive issue. It is estimated that one in three women will experience violence, whether physical, sexual and/or psychological, and the consequences of such will affect them throughout all stages of their life.

We must stand together to ensure the safety of all women and girls in our own country, and around the world.
