Life in Law receives 2021 Canadian Law Excellence Award!

We’re ecstatic to announce that Life in Law is the recipient of a 2021 Canadian Law Excellence Award in the Bereskin & Parr Diversity Initiative of the Year category!

We’re even more delighted that an initiative that grew from a lightbulb moment, was launched only a year ago and nurtured along despite the pandemic has been embraced so enthusiastically by the legal community. The goal has always been for Life in Law to have a positive influence and impact on reducing the exodus of women from the profession. Life in Law’s success and this amazing recognition is testament to what can be accomplished when we come together and support each other.

The Key Media Canadian Law Awards celebrate legal excellence across the country and are awarded in two phases. The first phase recognizes the top submissions in each category with an “Excellence Award”. The second phase culminates in a virtual gala on May 20, 2021 at which time the winner in each category is honoured with a “Gold Award”. We are so impressed by all of the award recipients in this category (find the full list here) and the active steps they are all taking to promote diversity not only within their own firms but within the legal profession as a whole.
