For Women in Law By Women in Law

Dear LiL – My offices won’t be opening for at least another few months and I am still working from home… a lot. I feel like I am edging towards burnout. Any suggestions on how to cope? ~ Signed Cooped Up

Dear Cooped Up:

First of all, we want you to know you are not alone. Many of us working from home find that the line between our personal and work time has blurred and it seems we are tending to invest a lot more time on the work side. It is very important that as we continue to work in isolation that we take better care of ourselves including our mental health. I recently watched a presentation by Dr. Saira Sabzaali, Ph.D. hosted by the South Asian Bar Association of BC and moderated by Raminder Hayre that had many helpful suggestions on managing burnout during the pandemic. It’s a great seminar and I highly recommend that you watch. You can find the recording here.
